New Mission

In remembrance of Willie, we are proud to introduce a new mission for our organization, one that carries forward the torch of his unwavering dedication to making the world a better place. While we remain steadfast in our commitment to Willie’s core principles, we recognize the need to adapt to the evolving needs of our community and the broader world.

Empowering Purpose & Wellness

Transforming Lives through
Fitness

The Austin Foundation was founded in 1994. Willie's calling was to serve his community through fitness. He had the insight and foresight that the community was going to need support in working with families and the youth to teach them the importance of health and wellness.

Supporting Families through Traumatic Transitions

Willie passed only days before getting to see his wife give birth to their child. When Vanisha met Willie he had told her he is here for women and children. After his passing and years of healing as Vanisha reflected upon this it occurred to her that Willie;s mom too was a widow and Willie's older Sister was a widow and these women were left alone to raise. their children. Single mothers are the highest at risk for poverty. We feel it is important to support those families who have lost their main provider and have small dependents in their care.
